The Government of Sindh has announced that all public and private educational institutions across the province will remain closed on March 11 in observance of Youm-i-Ali ( R.A.)

According to a notification issued by the Sindh School Education and Literacy Department, the holiday will apply to all institutions operating under its administrative control.

Officials said the closure is being observed to mark Youm-i-Ali, which commemorates the martyrdom of Ali ibn Abi Talib.

Meanwhile, Murad Ali Shah recently met prominent Shia scholars to seek their cooperation in ensuring effective security arrangements for Youm-i-Ali, as well as for Youm Al Quds and Jumatul Wida.

During the meeting, officials and scholars discussed administrative and security preparations and exchanged views on guiding the public in light of the regional situation following recent attacks on Iran.
