Tehran, March 10, 2026: The conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel continued to escalate as Iran warned it would deploy more powerful missiles and rejected negotiations proposed by Donald Trump.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) dismissed US claims that its missile capabilities had been destroyed, saying the country is preparing to launch missiles in greater numbers with warheads weighing more than one tonne.
Iranian officials also rejected calls for talks, stating that negotiations would not take place under pressure while the conflict continues.
Meanwhile, Trump warned that the United States could strike Iran “20 times harder” if Tehran attempts to block oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil transit routes. The warning came hours after the US president suggested that the war could end very soon.
Tensions have also spread to Lebanon, where an Israeli strike hit the southern suburbs of Beirut following renewed clashes between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah.
Rescue teams from the Lebanese Civil Defence inspected damaged buildings after the attack as concerns grow that the widening conflict could destabilize the Middle East and disrupt global energy markets.
