Washington, March 2, 2026 – A drone strike carried out by Iran on a hotel in Bahrain injured two U.S. Defense Department personnel, according to a diplomatic cable reported by the Washington Post.
Following the incident, the U.S. Embassy in Manama issued a warning urging American citizens to avoid staying in hotels due to safety concerns and the risk of further attacks.
Officials have not yet provided details on the identities of those injured or the extent of their injuries, while security measures at hotels and other public locations in the Bahraini capital have been increased in response to the threat.
