Qatar has suspended LNG supplies to Europe amid escalating Iranian attacks in the Gulf. Following Iran’s retaliation against US and Israeli strikes — including the targeting of American bases in Gulf Arab states such as Qatar — disruptions to regional energy flows have begun to materialise.
With Qatar halting LNG exports to European markets, global gas prices have surged by more than 50 percent, reflecting mounting concerns over supply security. If hostilities persist, the world could face a severe energy crisis marked by sharp price spikes, supply shortages, and heightened economic instability.
