Tel Aviv (Daily Dusk) — Israel has confirmed that eight people were killed in an Iranian rocket attack on the city of Beit Shemesh.

The casualties occurred following the February 28 assassination of senior Iranian leaders by the United States and Israel, after which Tehran launched retaliatory strikes.

Although Israel operates the advanced Iron Dome air defence system, it is not always able to intercept every incoming missile or rocket, and some projectiles manage to reach their targets.
