Sindh apex Committee Orders Enhanced Security for Foreigners in Karachi

Daily Dusk , March 5, 2026 -Karachi — The Sindh Apex Committee has directed law enforcement agencies to enhance security for foreign nationals, particularly Chinese workers, amid heightened regional tensions following recent strikes on Iran.

The decision was taken during the 33rd meeting of the apex committee held at the Chief Minister House and chaired by Murad Ali Shah. The meeting was attended by the Karachi corps commander, senior officials from the police, Pakistan Rangers, intelligence agencies, and Sindh Home Minister Zia Lanjar.

According to a statement issued by the CM House, the meeting reviewed the prevailing security situation in the wake of strikes carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran and the subsequent unrest reported in Karachi.

The chief minister directed authorities to ensure the protection of foreigners, maintain the writ of the state, and carry out targeted operations against terrorist elements when required.
