Daily Dusk , March 5, 2026 -Wana — Asim Munir on Wednesday warned that the use of Afghan territory for carrying out terrorist activities against Pakistan is unacceptable and that the country would take all necessary measures to counter threats emerging from across the border.
According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations, the army chief made the remarks during his visit to Wana where he reviewed the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness along the western border.
The visit focused on assessing the security environment in South Waziristan and evaluating the readiness of troops deployed in the region.
Munir said that militant groups described as Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan were using Afghan soil to carry out attacks against Pakistan, stressing that such activities would not be tolerated.
He reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared to defend the country and would take all necessary steps to neutralise any threat to national security.
