Abu Dhabi: The President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has reappeared in a televised meeting with US Senator Lindsey Graham, putting to rest speculation about his health that had circulated online in recent days.

The rumours began after Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that he was postponing a planned visit to Abu Dhabi due to what he described as a “health problem” concerning the Emirati leader. The comment, later removed from an official statement, triggered widespread online conjecture, including false claims briefly posted on Wikipedia.

On Wednesday, the UAE Presidential Court released video footage showing Sheikh Mohamed meeting Senator Graham at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. The state-run WAM news agency also published photographs of the engagement, where the president appeared in good spirits.

Earlier, images were also shared of Sheikh Mohamed — widely known as MBZ — alongside Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, further dispelling concerns about his well-being.

Senator Graham later posted on X that he had held a lengthy meeting with the UAE president and criticised what he described as baseless narratives targeting both the country and its leadership.

The public appearances appear to have quelled speculation surrounding the Emirati leader’s health.
