Colombo, February 21: The Super 8 match between Pakistan and New Zealand in the T20 World Cup was abandoned due to persistent rain.

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha had won the toss and opted to bat, but no play was possible, and the umpires called off the game. Both teams were awarded one point each.

Tomorrow, England will face Sri Lanka, while India will take on South Africa in the Super 8 stage. Pakistan is scheduled to play its next Super 8 match against England on February 24.
