ISLAMABAD — Sohail Khan Afridi on Tuesday dismissed reports claiming he had withdrawn security from former CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur, calling them “false” and a distraction from more pressing matters.
Speaking to journalists in response to questions from Ehtesham Kayani, Afridi said, “I don’t have time for such things. Our focus remains firmly on Imran Khan’s health and his release.”
He criticized those seeking media attention through sensational claims, urging that public attention should instead remain on Khan’s well-being. “If someone is doing such things just to stay in the news, let them. But the focus should be on Imran Khan’s health,” he added.
The statement comes amid heightened political tension in Pakistan, where Imran Khan’s detention and health condition have dominated headlines.
