Several United States military aircraft have crashed in Kuwait early Monday morning, the Kuwait defence ministry has said, as Iran continued its third consecutive day of strikes across the Gulf Region.
The ministry confirmed that the crew members on board the aircraft survived and are safe. A statement said the cause of the crashes is currently under investigation.
Social media footage circulating online reportedly shows one US Air Force F‑15E fighter jet spiralling down over Kuwait, with both crew members ejecting and later being picked up by local authorities before being transferred to medical evaluation.
This development comes amid a broader military escalation that has seen Iran launch missile and drone attacks throughout the Gulf, as tensions with US and allied forces continue to escalate.
Officials have not yet provided further details on how many aircraft were involved in Monday’s incidents or the precise circumstances leading up to the crashes. Investigations are ongoing.
