Karachi, February 22, 2026 — Pakistani actress Saba Qamar recounted a startling encounter with a purported supernatural presence on the set of her latest drama, Muamma, during an appearance on the talk show Ramzan Mein Hasna Mana Hai hosted by Tabish Hashmi.

According to Qamar, her makeup artist was unexpectedly slapped on the back of his head by an unseen force while stepping off set to perform wuzu before prayers. When asked whether the makeup artist had seen anyone, Qamar said he had “seen something, just not this,” gesturing toward her own face. “There was something, but there wasn’t anything,” she explained, describing the mysterious nature of the encounter.

The actress expressed her belief in jinn, suggesting that such beings may react when people intrude on their space or disturb them. “There’s no bigger devil than humans,” Qamar said, adding that she herself was not frightened by ghosts or spirits, having witnessed much in her life. “If I saw a ghost, I’d say, ‘Brother ghost, let’s sit down and discuss, we will solve this problem,’” she remarked.

The incident reportedly caused anxiety among the crew, with some even proposing to shift the shoot to a different location. Qamar, however, insisted that the production must continue, joking, “I don’t care if it’s Majulika — or Tanjulika — I will make sure we complete this shoot.” She referenced Majulika, the antagonist from the Bollywood horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, to underscore her determination in the face of fear.

Hashmi and Qamar shared a humorous exchange imagining ghosts gossiping about the actress over tea, a remark that drew laughter from the audience. She added with a smile, “After the cases that happened recently, even ghosts must be like, ‘You shouldn’t mess with this one.’”

The lighthearted discussion highlighted Qamar’s mix of superstition, humor, and resilience, offering fans a glimpse behind the scenes of the drama and the culture of ghost stories in Pakistan.
