Punjab Closes Educational Institutions Amid Regional Tensions and Fuel Shortage Fears

Lahore, March 9: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a series of extraordinary measures to tackle the severe economic challenges arising from the ongoing regional conflict.
In a major decision, government fuel will be restricted for provincial ministers until the resolution of the current petroleum crisis.
Additionally, all schools, colleges, and universities in the province will remain closed from March 10 to March 31, although exams will continue as per the scheduled timetable. Educational institutions will have the option to conduct online classes during this period.
These steps are aimed at mitigating the economic impact on the province while ensuring that students’ academic progress is not disrupted.
