The rest of the batting unit contributed valuable runs to maintain the pressure throughout the innings.

The victory further strengthens India’s dominance over Pakistan in World Cup encounters. India have now won eight out of nine meetings between the two sides at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. They also maintain a flawless record in all eight of their clashes at the ICC Cricket World Cup.
Due to ongoing political tensions, the two neighbouring nations compete against each other only in multinational tournaments hosted at neutral venues. It has been more than 18 years since the teams faced off in a Test match, while over a decade has passed since either country toured the other for a bilateral series.
Pakistan team needs to work harder to challenge India in the upcoming matches.
