KARACHI, Feb 21, 2026 — Pakistani television actor Alizeh Shah has opened up about a challenging year in her life, sharing a personal message during Ramadan about returning to faith, embracing forgiveness, and seeking spiritual renewal.
Posting on Instagram to her 4.3 million followers, Shah described the past year as “one of the hardest years of my life,” admitting that she felt “lost, distant, and deeply disconnected from Allah.” She added that at times, the darkness she experienced felt heavier than her own faith.
The actor, who gained prominence at sixteen and starred in hit dramas including Ehd-e-Wafa, Dil Moum Ka Dia, Ishq Tamasha, Mera Dil Mera Dushman, Taqdeer, Mohabbat Ki Akhri Kahani, Khail, and Ishq Beparwah, said that Ramadan has inspired a turning point in her life. “I am choosing to return and choosing to soften my heart,” she wrote, signalling a commitment to personal and spiritual growth.
Shah emphasised forgiveness as central to her journey. “I am choosing to forgive every person who ever hurt me — not because they deserve it, but because my soul deserves peace,” she said. She also expressed her desire to seek forgiveness from Allah, hoping to be forgiven in the same way she is learning to forgive others.
The actor credited her parents for providing support and patience during her difficult times, describing them as a guiding light when she struggled to find patience within herself. “The only light that carried me through was the hope Allah placed in my heart and the patience my parents showed me when I couldn’t even show patience to myself,” she wrote.
In a reflective message to her followers, Shah cautioned against letting ego take control. “Sometimes we know we’re drifting, we know we’re wrong, and yet we let our ego win. That’s when we become the villain of our own story,” she wrote, encouraging introspection and timely repentance.
Her heartfelt note has resonated with fans during Ramadan, a period traditionally associated with reflection, forgiveness, and spiritual growth.
Shah continues to work on upcoming drama projects and Eid telefilms, balancing her professional commitments with a renewed focus on faith and personal well-being.
